Fiber (or GBIT Glass-fiber Based Information Transfer as it is known in the Scientific Community) is one of the most efficient (and expensive) forms of information transfer. The fiber cable transfers information by light using pulses of light much like pulses of electricity are used in a copper wire. since light dowsnt degrade like electricity it can travel a much farther distance. the light transmitted is usually laser radiation. Collisions are Rare with fiber as laser radiation does not interfere with itself.
